Prenatal Yoga Quotes
Everyone gains something different from the classes. For some women, the poses really help. For others, the breathing. Some women really enjoy getting to know other pregnant women either during circle time or before and after class. Just come with an open mind and open body and see what works for you. "I have to say the yoga breathing worked up until I opted for pain medication.....I was in a little too much pain even with the deep breathing (but it helped the baby a great deal.....even the nurse commented on how great the baby's heartbeat was because of my breathing). Unfortunately after getting stadol my breathing was thrown off completely because of the CRAZY hallucinations that stuff gives you, so I was given oxygen and I opted for an epidural after I was finally not so delusional. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I'd say stay away from the Stadol and keep breathing! THANK YOU so much for the opportunity to participate in your yoga class. I really learned a lot. P.S.: according to my doctor my activity with yoga probably saved me from getting a c-section. Because I was able to relax my pelvis she had an easier journey. Jasmine thanks you!" ~ Tiffani Carr "I will say the hypnobirthing/yoga breathing was extremely helpful during labor, as was moving around and staying on my feet, that made a huge difference to me. Other than the mag sulfate [for high blood pressure], I didn't have any meds which I am thankful for because I wouldn't have wanted anything else in his system that would have slowed him (or me) down even more. I am so so glad that I was able to take the prenatal yoga classes and I will really miss going now. Let me know if there is a mommy and baby class!!! ~ Megan Stuhlman The best part of the class is you . . . .With all your knowledge about prenatal care, breastfeeding & friendliness, you've made Wednesdays my favorite day of the week. I've gained a lot of strength & confidence that I'm amazed of my progress. In the beginning I wasn't able to relax but you taught me how to find my inner peace. That's why I was able to perform great on my "Labor" day even if there was a ton of unwanted medical complications. Yoga also helped me during my recovery. I used my breathing exercises
to gain strength while I was nailed to my hospital bed. [Emma had several
complications during birth.] I had to be strong to walk out of my bed and
fever free to finally see my daughter. I also used the tree pose to lift
my foot to clean it in the shower & when I was getting dressed. Getting
out of bed is still a challenge for me, but I use my upper body muscles to
get up. I had my beautiful baby boy in water. I just wanted to take this time out to thank you for teaching all those great yoga technique, which helped me immensely prior and during labor. And I also wanted to thank you for creating an environment for mothers and mothers-to-be to indulge and reflect on the beautiful art of childbearing as well as building a positive and empowering relationship amongst us mothers. Thank you. ~ Shelly Reid I really want to thank you for teaching such a wonderful class. Prenatal yoga was really a life saver for me, and I feel it kept me from ending up with a c-section. I was induced and did have an epidural, couldn't breathe through the contractions after hours of labor. I pushed for 1hr 20mins and ended up in some yoga positions that helped turn Alyssa. [Alyssa was in the posterior position and turned anterior - we do a lot of poses in the class to help the baby be anterior, which leads to an easier birth.] She is worth every bit of effort I had to exert! She is a perfect little baby. We are in love with her. Let me know if you are going to teach the mom & baby yoga. ~ Tanya Banks Back to Prenatal Yoga Benefits ph: 954.533.4000
