Prenatal Yoga workshops in Broward County

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for your wonderful class. I have really learned a lot and I am so happy I got to be with other pregnant woman to discuss our tough times and our good times. I was always happy and relaxed when I left your class." ~ Sarah Arellano

Prepare for your own delivery with a gentle and safe prenatal yoga workshop. Open to all levels of yoga experience, including beginners. I always emphasize to go at your own pace and to take it easy, so don't worry about this workshop being too strenuous! This workshop is part pregnancy support and part yoga. The yoga part will comprise a little over an hour of yoga.

The emphasis will be on taking the yoga home for an easier pregnancy and easier birth! Yoga postures will focus on breathing, flexibility, and strength. We will also have a relaxation period at the end where we practice a breath you can use at home to relax and also during birth.

The December 2007 Prenatal Yoga Workshop went really well! Much support and yoga were accomplished :).  Please join my announcement list if you would like information about future prenatal yoga sessions or workshops. And feel free to browse around to get a feel for the classes and information about prenatal yoga.

If you miss the workshop after signing up, there are no make-ups, refunds, or credits. Special circumstances (i.e., bed rest, premature labor) will be given special consideration.

All prenatal yoga workshops are held in Plantation at  Lisa's School of Dance & Gymnastics.

What to bring
Please bring a sticky mat, a strap, and a block with you. You can purchase a "Yoga Kit" locally at places such as Target, Borders, or Whole Foods.  Ebay also has some good deals on kits.

In addition, I suggest bringing a towel or small throw pillow for the relaxation period. Please feel free to bring your water bottle and drink water during class. It's really important to stay hydrated during pregnancy.

As dusk fell, there
was a magical feel
to the evening;
one could almost
see groups of fairies
flitting about the
shadowy fields . . ."
